Your book, your reader: thank you for the Kindle download guide
A thank you to a Murmuration Press reader who worked out how to download a purchased copy of EMERGENCE from Amazon and read it in a non-Kindle app, then generously supplied instructions and screenshots for others to follow.
I prefer Apple Books and other readers to Kindle. The reading experience matters, and buying a book from Amazon need not mean reading it in the Kindle app when an eligible DRM-free download is available.
We have turned the reader’s instructions into a permanent, illustrated guide: How to Download Your Kindle eBook for Other eReaders. It explains where to find Amazon’s EPUB/PDF download option, how to check the downloaded file, and how to transfer it to a compatible device or reading app.
The option applies to eligible purchased books made available without digital rights management (DRM). Kindle Unlimited loans do not qualify, and the download option may vary by title.
You can also find the guide on our Purchase Books page.
Thank you to a Murmuration Press reader for taking the time to make this easier for everyone.
