Murmuration Writing Companion 0.16.0 released

Share

Version 0.16.0 of the Murmuration Writing Companion is now available.

This release brings together the complete writing and world-building workflow inside Obsidian:

  • navigate books, parts and chapters through the Manuscript panel;
  • review chapter context, editorial progress, notes and annotations;
  • browse the Story World through a dedicated navigator;
  • inspect characters, events, locations and organisations alongside their Markdown;
  • create new Story World entities without remembering schemas or folder conventions;
  • maintain relationships as readable statements rather than raw structured data;
  • edit event dates and ranges through guided controls;
  • explore events chronologically and connect them to the manuscript scenes that establish them.

The centre of the system remains ordinary Markdown. Manuscript structure, chapter metadata and Story World canon remain portable, inspectable and under the author’s control. The Companion adds focused views and guided editing without replacing the underlying documents.

The new event–scene timeline has been particularly transformative for the PRIME Trilogy. Events can now drive the novel directly: their dates, sources, relationships and consequences remain visible while writing and reviewing.

The release also includes a complete interface pass, with clearly defined Manuscript, Story World Navigator, Story World Timeline, Writing Companion and Entity Inspector panels.

Version 0.16.0 is available from the project’s GitHub releases page.
