Ted Hawkins is a British writer with a background in environmental science, software, systems design, and data management. His work draws on field science, software development, technical consultancy, and a long-standing interest in how complex systems fail, adapt, and surprise us.

His fiction explores the uneasy territory between human judgment and machine behaviour: infrastructure, ecology, artificial intelligence, institutional power, and the small personal moments that reveal what large systems cannot understand.

The PRIME Trilogy is his first major work of speculative fiction. Ted lives on the south coast of England.
